The beautiful Tui is not only a NZ icon, but is a symbol of a fulfilling life and spiritual harmony. Did you also know that connecting with nature can reduce anxiety & depression?

The reason for me creating this series of birds was to slow down, pick something I love and get into the flow of creating again. I can be a very anxious person and put way too many expectations on myself - resulting in a lack of creative energy. This collection was an attempt to find a balance in myself.

This artwork created with a combination of watercolour and ink, depicts a Tui aka Parson Bird.
